Principal Message

Words of Inspiration from the Principal

Welcome to Lemania Swiss International School.

Located in Egypt, a country with a deep educational, cultural, and intellectual heritage, LSIS draws on its history, while rising to the challenges of the future. Egypt’s geography has made it a meeting point of cultures, beliefs, and knowledge systems across time. LSIS will continue this legacy. We build on the educational traditions of École Lémania, founded in Lausanne, Switzerland in 1908. The Lémania Schools are synonymous with academic rigor, and a global outlook that provides it students with the skills needed to lead. Together, these influences shape learning at LSIS and are reflected in the lamp of knowledge that guides our work. It offers light, curiosity, and direction, while allowing each learner to find their own path.

Family partnership is central to life at LSIS. Learning is strongest when schools and parents work together with trust and shared purpose. We place great importance on creating a warm and inclusive community where every child is known, supported, and encouraged to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Lemania Swiss International School is aligned with the philosophy of the International Baccalaureate and is preparing for IB authorization. Learning is inquiry driven and conceptually focused. Students make connections across disciplines and apply their learning through meaningful projects and real-world experiences. Through this approach, they explore questions of identity, culture, progress, sustainability, and responsibility from both local and global perspectives.

The Future Founders programme is woven into the Primary Years Programme through the IB transdisciplinary themes, developing creativity, collaboration, and an entrepreneurial mindset from the earliest years. Alongside this, the Athletics programme forms an important part of holistic education. In partnership with Klub Kayan, students engage in purposeful physical development that supports wellbeing, discipline, teamwork, and leadership within a balanced school day.

I look forward to welcoming families into the LSIS community and to working together to build a school where learning is meaningful, relationships are strong, and every student is supported to grow with confidence and care.
