Mrs. Sofia Dourasse is an experienced international educator and senior school leader with over 17 years of teaching and leadership experience, including more than 10 years within the International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum. She brings strong expertise in programme implementation, evaluation readiness, and whole-school alignment, grounded in a deep commitment to international-mindedness and high-quality learning.
As the Vice Principal and PYP Coordinator at Lémania Swiss International School, Mrs. Sofia Dourasse leads the implementation, development, and evaluation of the Primary Years Programme. In this role, she supports strategic academic leadership, strengthens teaching and learning practices, ensures alignment with IB standards and practices, and builds staff capacity through targeted professional learning. Her work contributes directly to curriculum coherence, inclusive practices, and sustained school improvement.
Since 2015, Mrs. Dourasse has held multiple confirmed roles with the International Baccalaureate Organization across the Africa, Europe, Asia, and Middle East region, including IB Consultant, Programme Leader, Evaluation Leader, Workshop Leader, and Online Facilitator. She has led and contributed to over 40 IB assignments and professional engagements across more than 20 countries, encompassing authorization, verification, and evaluation visits, consultancy work with candidate schools, and IB professional development workshops. She works fluently in English, French, and Arabic, supporting diverse school communities in multilingual and international contexts.
Mrs. Dourasse holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Business Administration from Université Mohammed V and a Bachelor’s degree in French Language and Literature (Translation) from Cairo University. She also holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, in addition to an IB Educator and Leadership Certificate, from the University of Dundee.
